Technorati
Technorati Tags are labels supplied by bloggers based on each post’s categorization. It’s real-time and completely customizable. Not sure the benefits of this yet but I set up an account anyway. So here is my Technorati Profile.
According to Wikipidia “Technorati is an Internet search engine for searching blogs, competing with Google, Yahoo, PubSub and IceRocket. As of August 2006, Technorati indexes over 55 million weblogs. The name Technorati is a portmanteau, pointing to the technological version of literati or intellectuals.”
Value and Worth
Recently I ran into this post How Much Is My Blog Worth? that has created an applet which leverages Technorati’s API and Tristan Louis’s research. Seems like I got a waaays to go - This blog is only worth $564.54 as of 12/02/06.
