While I find Safari fast for some things, getting control of my cursor once I enter full screen mode takes a bit of time - an annoying amount of time. In all cases, full screen mode has worked, and pressing the esc key immediately puts the browser back to normal mode. I’ve tested this on my Athlon XP with Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 2, and Safari 3.
